The core document set covers your identity, your means and your work link. You submit a valid passport or travel document, the completed visa application form with a recent photograph, and proof of health insurance valid across the Schengen area.

You also provide proof of your place of residence in Latvia and documentation of your employment relationship or self-employment, including verification from the relevant tax or social authorities in your OECD country and, for employees, an employer letter confirming at least six months of prior employment and that the role can be done remotely. Applications are handled by the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (OCMA) and can be lodged by mail or through its e-service portal.
