How many years of residence are needed for EU long-term resident status in Latvia?

PMLP requires five years of continuous and lawful residence in Latvia to qualify for EU long-term resident status. Short absences are tolerated within limits, but long gaps can break continuity.

For Latvian non-citizens, up to five years of lawful residence in other EU member states may also count toward the requirement. Keep records of your residence history, since you will need to evidence the continuous period.
