How long must the sponsor have lived in Lithuania before family can join?

In many cases family reunification is possible only after the sponsoring resident has lived lawfully in Lithuania for a minimum period, commonly around two years, before relatives can come to live with them.

There are exceptions where family members may immigrate together with the sponsor or sooner, for example for certain permit categories such as highly qualified workers.
