
There is no minimum length of service required for the Secondment Worker visa. Unlike some other Global Business Mobility routes, you do not need to have worked overseas for any set period before being seconded.
The Secondment Worker visa is for employees being seconded to the UK as part of a high-value contract between your overseas employer and a UK sponsor. Eligibility is tied to that contract and your Certificate of Sponsorship rather than to a qualifying period of prior service.
This differs from routes such as the Service Supplier visa, which require 12 months of prior experience. For the Secondment Worker route, the key test is that you are a genuine employee of the overseas business and that the contract underpinning your secondment meets the value threshold set by the Home Office.
