Unlike work or study permits, the Greek investor residence permit is not conditioned on actually residing in the country for a set number of days each year. What matters is that the qualifying investment continues to exist and the permit is renewed on time.
This makes the permit attractive to investors who want residence rights without relocating. However, if you later want to apply for long-term residence or citizenship, separate and stricter physical-presence and other conditions will apply to those statuses.
