What happens if my Czech research permit is refused or expires?

If your application is refused, the decision sets out the legal grounds, the reasoning, and your appeal rights. You generally have 15 days from notification to appeal.

A rejection may also state any obligation to leave the Czech Republic and the period allowed for departure. To avoid a gap, renew on time while your research continues, since the hosting organisation's cost commitment can extend slightly beyond the permit's validity in defined situations.
