Yes. The current temporary caregiver route requires a genuine job offer and an employer with a positive LMIA.
To work temporarily as a caregiver under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, you need a genuine job offer from a Canadian employer who has received a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) for the caregiver position. The LMIA confirms there is a need for a foreign worker and that no Canadian or permanent resident is available to fill the role. You also have to meet the occupation's requirements and be admissible to Canada. Without both a job offer and a supporting LMIA, you cannot obtain this type of caregiver work permit.
