What does my business have to deliver to qualify for the Self-employed Key Worker Red-White-Red Card?

This category is aimed at self-employed people whose activity benefits the wider Austrian economy, not just their own business. To meet that standard, the venture must satisfy at least one defined criterion.

The recognised criteria are a transfer of at least €100,000 in investment capital to Austria, the creation of new jobs or securing of existing ones, the transfer of know-how or introduction of new technologies, or significant importance for the region. Demonstrating one of these clearly, with evidence such as a business plan and financial proof, is central to a successful application.
