How long does the Norwegian job seeker permit last?

The job seeker permit is time-limited and is granted for a maximum of one year. It is meant to give you a defined window to find a job that meets the skilled-worker requirements.

Because it is a temporary search permit, it does not on its own count toward permanent residence. The intention is that you move on to a skilled-worker permit once you secure suitable employment.
