Who applies for the seasonal work permit, the employer or the worker?

Seasonal employment is arranged around a specific Slovenian employer, and the employer plays the central role in starting the permit process with the Employment Service.

The Employment Service assesses whether the conditions for the permit are satisfied before work can begin. Because the permission is tied to that employer and to seasonal activity, you cannot simply use it as a general right to work in Slovenia; it is linked to the specific seasonal job that was approved.
