Is there a Greek language requirement for Cyprus long-term residence?

Cyprus has introduced an integration requirement for EU long-term resident status. Applicants are generally expected to demonstrate Greek language ability at A2 level and a basic knowledge of the country's contemporary political and social reality.

This is in addition to the residence, income and insurance conditions. If your Greek is limited, plan ahead and take an approved course or examination, as you may need to provide a certificate with your application.
