What work experience do I need to qualify for the Atlantic Immigration Program?

For the worker stream you must have accumulated at least one year of work experience in the last five years, which is at least 1,560 hours, equivalent to 30 hours per week for a year. The experience must be in your main occupation at NOC 2021 TEER level 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4, and part-time hours can be combined to reach the total.

The main exception is the international graduate stream. If you recently completed a qualifying credential at a recognised post-secondary institution in Atlantic Canada, you may not need the work experience. The graduate route is designed to retain people who already studied in the region.
