A third-country national already living in Czechia - for example a long-term or permanent resident (15+ months for spouses), an employee card holder (6+ months), or a Blue Card holder.
The sponsor is a third-country national who already holds residence status in the Czech Republic. For a spouse or child to apply, the sponsor must usually meet one of several conditions: holding a long-term or permanent residence permit and having lived in Czechia for at least 15 months (with both spouses at least 20 years old), holding an employee card with at least 6 months of residence, or holding a Blue Card, intra-company transfer card, or investment residence permit.
Researchers and certain other permit holders can also sponsor. The exact condition that applies depends on the sponsor's permit type, so it is worth confirming which rule fits your situation before applying.
