Some students can bring dependants, but this is now mainly limited to those on postgraduate research courses or government-sponsored programmes.
You may be able to bring your partner and children to the UK as dependants, but the rules were tightened and eligibility is restricted. In general, dependants are only allowed for students on postgraduate research (PhD or doctoral) courses or certain government-sponsored courses.
Each dependant applies separately and you must show you can financially support them. If your course does not qualify, your family members would need to find another route to come to the UK. Check the current dependant rules carefully before relying on bringing family.
