You need Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 across all four abilities (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) in English or French.
The FSWP requires a minimum of CLB 7 in each of the four language abilities: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. You prove this with an approved language test in English or French.
CLB 7 is the floor for eligibility, but higher scores significantly boost both your 67-point grid total and your Comprehensive Ranking System score. Because language carries heavy weight in both calculations, strong test results are often the single biggest lever for skilled workers.
