Family reunification lets the spouse (18+) and minor children of a non-EU national lawfully resident in France for at least 18 months join them, subject to income and housing conditions.
Family Reunification (Regroupement familial) allows a non-EU national settled in France to bring their spouse and minor children. The sponsor must hold a residence permit valid for at least one year and have resided legally in France for at least 18 months. They must also show stable income meeting the threshold for the household size — social benefits are excluded from this calculation — and adequate, habitable housing for the whole family.
This route involves a waiting period and these income and housing checks, which makes it more demanding than the family provisions attached to the Talent card. If you are coming to France on a Talent card, your spouse and minor children instead receive a Talent — famille card with work rights and no labour-market test, which is generally the easier path for families who qualify.
The residence permit issued on arrival costs around EUR 150. Income thresholds depend on household size and are reviewed periodically, so confirm current figures on service-public.gouv.fr before applying. ACME can help you compare standard family reunification against the Talent — famille option if both could apply to you.
