Through EU long-term residence after five years of legal residence, or directly via investment (Regulation 6(2) from EUR 300,000) or Category F for people of independent means.
There are several paths. EU long-term resident status is available after five continuous years of legal residence, subject to stable income, suitable accommodation, health insurance, a clean record and basic Greek (A2). Alternatively, the fast-track Permanent Residence by Investment under Regulation 6(2) grants permanent residence to those making a qualifying investment of at least EUR 300,000 plus showing secured foreign income. Category F offers permanent residence to financially independent people (often retirees) with a lower income threshold but currently much longer processing times.
