It covers New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador, and it is a direct pathway to permanent residence.
The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) is for skilled workers and international graduates who want to live and work in one of Canada's four Atlantic provinces: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
Unlike a temporary work permit, the AIP is an employer-driven route to permanent residence. After you receive a job offer from a designated employer and a provincial endorsement, you apply to IRCC for PR. You must also intend to live in the Atlantic province connected to your job offer.
