Unlike a standard study permit, the FMC Student Pilot connects you to settlement services funded by IRCC while you study. These services are normally reserved for permanent residents, so this is a meaningful added benefit of the pilot.
Settlement support can include help with finding housing, language support, community connections and guidance on living in a Francophone minority community. Your accompanying family members can use these services too, which helps the whole family integrate more quickly.
